Apparently, the Texas attorney's daughter put the filter on; maybe the judge would have been better to have her take the case! Just imagine telling a judge, "I'm here live, I'm not a cat..." how does someone who thinks like that become an attorney? good grief!What gets me about new technologies is the tacitly assumed: 'Its ok to remain completely ignorant of actually learning how to resolve technology problems for oneself .. I mean the ONLY way to resolve such problems, is surely to call in an expert' .. (and then proceed to criticise them in every way conceivable).

I wasn't clear with my question. I understand the concept. I just couldn't see in what way the incident was an illustration of its weaknesses.Maybe there's a better label for it, but the idea that anybody can do anything leading to everyone needing to know how to do everything themselves.

So as not to appear as a cat in court?The guy didn't appear equipped to handle his own computer tech. I think it's reasonable to ask: Why should he have to?
