  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Oh seafood is SO not like that here. We usually make our own fries because my husband doesn't care for the frozen kind.

I don't like seafood...other than haddock, cod, salmon and tuna, plaice and maybe a couple of other fish.

I think it has to do with being bought up in an inner city where we were never exposed to such foodstuffs beyind that which was within our meagre price range and seafood was certainly not an option for us.

God Bless.

Wow, usually here it can be free if you go fishing.

There is more to seafood than just fish, there’s shrimp, oysters, crabs, crawfish, it can be really good if you know what your doing, how to prepare it but going to a good restaurant can be on the expensive side.

I don't like shellfish, but that i think, is because it was never on the menu at home when i was growing up, and as an adult i just never aqcuired a taste for it.

God Bless.

The pics are all looking really great, the adults aren't so bad but the kiddies win hands down :)

Anyway, since this is a tech thread, can i ask someone who knows more than me (which wouldn't be difficult)..if i were to link to something i would do so lke this http://www.christianforums.com/

other people on the other hand, type the word 'here' or something like that, and it takes them to the webpage..my blog is looking really messy because of the links all over the place..so please could someone advise me of how to avoid the huge web page address thing in my links, thankyou!

God Bless

It's really simple, Deb...IOW, it took me about three years to catch on to what everyone else could learn in one easy lesson. :) Here's what you do:

Copy the web address you want to use. In the text of your post type: [ url = web address] text you want to show[ / url ]

without the spaces. It's the inside bracket that always messed me up. :) I'd either forget it or put it in the wrong place.

My mistake . . . carry on.

Jason, do you remember George now? The British Anglican living in Germany? Expert/authority on everything. Never wrong about anything, in his mind anyway. :D

Dave, I barely remember that conversation I had with him.

Hi Dave! What a cool picture! I'm green with envy! I'd love to meet Dave Armstrong. I don't know how to thank him for his wonderful website as it was instrumental in bringing me back to the Catholic Church! What an awesome website! The Holy Spirit lead me to that website (and back to the Church). It answered all my questions on Catholicism at the time.

And it's nice to see you! I now have a face to your name! :D

Anyone know if there are women Catholic apologists? I feel called to defend the (Catholic) faith over here. There is a huge and very urgent need for it!

I'm also a member of COL! I have no idea of what conversation is being talked about... anywho, I love that forum a lot except I never really know what to post there. It really gets technical at times. But the discussions are very interesting and I learn a lot on the faith. :)

If this Detroit Area OBOB Trip comes together, and you make it here, I'll try to get Dave to come, even though he's not a member of CF.:)

Also, since you feel the Holy Spirit was instrumental in leading you to Dave's website, you may want to post that here in this thread where, despite the thread's title, the OP, a Pentacostal, is seeking just such personal examples. (Although I've got a feeling he may not exactly be looking for examples of the Holy Spirit leading people to the Catholic Church. ;)

And it's nice to see you! I now have a face to your name! :D

I was much more handsome when I was younger . . . I also used to be much taller.:D

Catholic Answers has some woman apologists, including Rosalind Moss.
