the first post here will contain announcments!!!! it is important that you check on them when you logg on!!!!

please read them carefully and post any questions concering what is posted there in this thread

and please do subscribe to this thread - we will post at the end of the thread whenever the announcement posts are updated - so that the thread turns up in your subscriptions again....

Please welcome your new Co-captain SqueeG......I am sure she will do just as good a job as me and I'm really sorry I had to step back but since I will be moving to Birmingham on the 16. of March and don't know how much time I will have online (since I don't weven yet know if I will have internet at all) there was nothing else I could do but step down

I will miss you all and hope you continue having a great time on here and doing a great job (like you are all doing now)

A FEW TIPPS FOR EVERYONE

1) you can be online with your FA ID and your regular ID at the same time:

use firefox for logging in with one ID and either Opera or Internet Explorer to log on with the other​

2) use the custom nav-bar

in the custom nav bar you can store the links to the most important threads/posts you need for your work! I even have a link to the food store there.
the custom nav bar will be displayed on every page you visit while logged on...

How to edit:
go to your user CP - find "edit options" (3rd point on the left hand menue) - scroll down to "Miscellaneous Options" - enter a title for the link (this is what will be displayed in the custom nav bar) and the url - when you are finished press "save changes" at the bottom of the page​

3) How to make unbreakable links

don't just copy and paste the url into a post!!!! those type of links will break sooner or later!

How to do it properly:

use the hyperlink button

write the name of the pet or the pet number, select it, then press the hyperlink button and enter the link adress into the pop up window, press ok and the link will be entered into your message....​

4) How to change your custom title:

Go to the CFcustomizer - look for where it says "Chnage custom title" ( should be the 5th option on the right) - click "get" - enter the custom title you want to have - click "preview" - you now get a preview of what your new custom title would look like, if you like it press "confirm", if you want to change it again press "go back"

once you click "confirm" the blessings will be paid (100 Blessings) and the changes made...​

How to edit your work post

1) do your pet round

2) go to the working thread

3) find the post you've made there

4) click on the edit sign at the bottom of the post

5) put your work report in there

6) click save

7) enjoy the forums

What your work post should look like

Dec. 1-B-48-?-/ 3-B-12-?-/5-B-0-?-/7-B-40-?-/
(Example for Sign In DATE & Blessings used and other information)

The above has been colored so it will be easy for you to understand how to post your record

> for each time you sign and check your pets.

Dec. indicates for the whole month, no need to type it again.

1 indicates the day date of the month

-B indicates blessings -48 indicates the approximate number of blessings used that date

-?- where the ? is you can put other important infos for us

/ indicates end of record for that date and ready to sign in the next time.

B-0 means you did not use blessings that day.​

Just continue on One continous line for each month. Skip one line and start the next month.

Now what does this code mean?

The month-day-blessings- This shows me the date you signed in and you checked your pets.

That is all the record we need.

These records are checked every day.

You do not have to sign in every day. JUST THE Days you have said you would.

Checking your pets as little as 3 times a week will be fine if you can not check in more often.

You will soon learn who feed their pets and who does not.

If you have a pet that is not being cared for by the owner and you know you will be a couple of day before you get to check them again.

Go ahead and feed the ones you have doubt about being feed.

You do not have to list the food you gave them.

I have a question:

I had one pet tonight whose Health was at 90%..

Do pets ever get heathier by being fed & played with, or do they need an injection to receive their health back??

the health of a pet won't rise except for when you give it injections but if it's at 90% that normally doesn't matter tooo much.....

if a pet is at less than 50% health or less (as far as I remember that) its hunger level won't go up if you feed it!

so when I have a pet with less health than that I give it injections to bring it's health back up....but if the health is above 50% it depends on my mood

is it toadpole you're talking about by chance? I had him in my care before we reorganized the pet watch lists and remember him being at 90% - I just fed him and never gave him an injection

Hi um...do anyone here know how to make an excel 'blessing spending on food budget' in microsoft excel program? Yes, that is the spreadsheet one. I think that would make it easier to just put in the number of blessing spend to feed pets and what was brought.

Hello everyone.

Hope you are enjoying the pets. I know they are enjoying all the attention they have been getting.

Please don't spoil the pets.

All I hear from them is so & so does it this away and so & so feeds and plays with me.

So & so took me to the park. and on and on it goes.

The pets were so meek and humble before you come in and spoiled them. Now they act like I am gonna kill when I just walk by.

Come on Ladys give me a break. Don't spoil the pets!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have a question about the work thread, I've redone mine like you asked Bfly (CFFA6) but I've added leters after the date i.e. DEC 12th-B-O/13th-B-6, because I have slight number dyslexia I find it hard to read if it was only numbers. Is this ok?

The most important thing is I see you have signed in and I know you have checked on your pets.

Also let me know you are alright and have not gone missing.

I might not get to speak to you every day or so but when I look at your work post I know you have been here and you are alright.

If you need to use larger letter or numbers fine. I surely have to use larger letters my eyes are not what they use to be.

Captain Bfly...I can't stop myself. All my pets are spoiled (I know I am failing to follow the rules about letting a pet get to 50% hunger...but when I let them get there ... they always need shots, big balls for pleasure, etc. It seems to cost less to keep them fed well as far as my observation has been)?

Hi Angel 2 yes I know how you feel and I think you are also tending pets that maybe you know the owner. That rule is to protect the pet from us. Most of our owners do enjoy tending their pet and don't wish for us to take that joy away from them. If you have pets that you know the owner has forgotten he owns and will not feed the pet then I feed that pet just like I do my own. So all I ask is that everyone use their own best judgment about trying to please the owner and the pet. It is a balancing act and sometimes we just have to do what we think is best for all concerned.

It is good to see you Angel 2. I hope you are feeling better. I am so proud you stayed with us. We have so many new angels and I know they will all love you and you will love them. We have really been blessed with great people to work hand in hand with us and our pets can sleep well at night knowing they are in good hands. God bless you all. bfly

The truth is that I play with my pets everyday. When you say don't spoil them, what did you mean? What is an example of spoiling a pet? Bfly, my family also have to give me example so that they could make sure I understand what they are talking about.

One of my pet hat a 72 or 75% hunger, and I fed it 2 chickens. I haven't got around to editing my post yet to make an update. Like maybe the excel could keep track of which pet I fed everyday and what food I fed each pet. And the pet food could calculate the total blessing. Like, if I fed pet xxx 2 chicken. The excel output would be 50 blessing. I won't have to tpye in 50, it would do the math for me. And if the next day, I give the same pet another chicken, the excel outcome would be 75 blessing.
