I've not been very mindful of my being a Christian lately, but I am desperate about my kid learning the Christian ways. I'm just having a hard time instilling it to her because I am not at my best. What can I do?

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Make a list of things you need to change in your life and seek support and prayer for it. Discipline yourself to practice self-control and intentionally choose to do the right thing. Often we don't live rightly because we have not intentionally planned to do the right thing.
But you also need to draw closer to the Lord. When you are walking close with Him, then doing the right thing become easier and feels natural. You will be do automatically make good choices without even thinking about it much.

Agreed.
And the next thing to do is find a mature believer who will keep you accountable in those areas that you are lacking. Sit down together and figure out what problem to tackle first, and a plan to fix it. And then DO IT.
Then on to the next one, and the next one ....

Thank y'all for your wonderful comments. I'm actually struggling because whenever I read the scriptures, I can't help but question them. Then I would end up doing research about it and would find evidences or pseudo-evidences against it.

Just an update, I decided to go into a counseling since I have been feeling down lately. I believe that this is what I need to be able to relive my faith. Hopefully, I'll recover soon enough.
