I don't know much about him, but what I don't like is that in order to become a member of his church you have to have a credit check. I think that's just wrong and un-Biblical. Jesus didn't check people's credit before He healed them or would talk to them. He doesn't care what our credit is like so why should T.D. Jakes? I live not far from his church and it's packed every Sunday. Though, I wouldn't go there because my finances aren't his business.
I'll assume you are not joking... I have never been of a mind to consider spending any time with his books or sermons... but this credit check thing is ludicrous... IMHO, alot less $$ should go to these megachurches and megaministries, and go instead directly to charities that directly help those in need. It is such a waste and a shame to Christ's Church to have Millions of dollars spent on huge fancy buildings. Money is NOT a sign of God's blessing and favor, and ANY Church has no right and no business looking into what you have or have not.
I wonder if Jakes will make his credit info public for his congregation to see...
