  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

A kind isn't the same as species. A kind is an animal who's original created parents (like Adam and Eve are our original created parents) could reproduce. With the fall and mutations sometimes changes occur where animals can't reproduce anymore with each other. We see downward trends, not upwards like evolution teaches. So dogs and wolves are of the same kind. Zebras and horses would be of the same kinda and etc. Hope that helps. Also here is an article with some good information to read that will explain further.

I was wondering if anybody can provide or point me towards information on, or a list of, the Biblical 'kinds' as per Genesis 1.

Thanks in advance.

I can offer a pretty good exposition that puts the creation account in perspective. Creationists are convinced that modern taxonomic systematics is deeply flawed. If you are interested in taxonomy from a creationist perspecive I suggest you browse some of these articles:

Chard Berndt - Online Articles

Genesis 1 is poetic prose and really won't provide much in the way of systemic classification schemes. Essentially the endless dividing and subdivided of closest relatives and common ancestors are convoluted schemes that tell us little about primordial natural history.
