Here's a question to those who believe that prayer has a tangible effect on our lives. For example, the Prayer Requests forum is full of requests for prayer for those who are afflicted by illnesses. Am I to believe that God will help those in need if I pray for them, but would not help if I didn't? What's your take on this?

Posting this forum because I don't want to disturb those in the Prayer Requests forum who genuinely belive in the effects of praying.

What if they are suffering from their last disease or affliction that God didn't take care of. I know as a parent, that I literally answer my childrens needs before they ask them because I can see what they need, how and why. But there will come a day when I will not answer their needs and they will have to deal with and/or accept the outcome.

How do we know that God hasn't already cured us of thousands of deadly diseases and helped out of thousands of dire circumstances and situtations already?

Even the atheist says "When it's our time to go, we go."

Death and suffering are only very temporary thing to the God of eternity. Are we seeing things correctly from our perspective?

YOU cared for and about others, and they will never ever know it.

In, teresting question. Have sometimes wondered about this myself. Whether or not He would do anything if no-one prayed, I don't know,,,,,,,but I do believe that He often leads people to pray for certain things or people, so I should think there would always be someone praying;
