I have heard from many people that they talk with God a lot.

What does this really mean? Do they actually have conversations or what?

Is it just praying? Does God talk back?

How can I talk with God?

Thanks for helping a growing Christian

Yes. If you talk to Him he will talk back to you in the silence of your heart.

When I pray, I never expect to hear a voice, but often after prayer, I feel confident that I have made a decision wisely or that I understand something more fully. I also have faith that God will, in some way, provide a question to any answer I ask--though I may not recognize it as from God.

"Listen to the silence of your heart", "He will talk back if you get close enough to Him".

These answers sound rehearsed. What exactly do these obscure solutions mean.
Nice...

I find God talking to me quite a bit. Mostly its an obscure thought out of nowhere.. something i know that will be praising to God, and that will edify myself. Its an intuition, i think this is one of the hardest questions to answer because how do you put it in words, its like trying to describe the internet to an ant..

During prayer sometimes i know the holy spirit is there and that jesus is touching my heart.. its amazing simply amazing. God doesnt have to answer right then and there.. you ever pray for somethin and then 3 days later your prayer is answered? That happens to me alot.

The primary way God speaks to His people is through His Word.
Your soul, and His word are the only 2 things we have on earth that will last forever.
It's best to be in his word every day: write down stuff that stands out to you, spend time thinking about it, then answer back to Him in prayer. The next day, start up where you left off. Work your way through an entire book of the Bible before moving on to the next rather than jumping around randomly. This is called a "quiet time", and it's one of the best ways to have God speak directly to your heart.
& Get someone Godly in your church to disciple you! They could teach ya all kindsa good stuff like that.
