  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Everything. There is no set thing to talk about. What do you talk about with friends? I talk to my bf about all kinds of things...how our days are going, what we think about certain things, and so on.

I got much more topics to talk about with my male friends. But when it comes to female friends, I do not know what to talk about.

What's going on in the news at the moment? We've been talking a lot about the death penalty and the abortion pill, because of that being in the news.

How about what's going on at work/school? Or something funny you saw on the way to work/school/at work? We chat about that on the way home.

Basically anything I'd talk about with my female friends, is stuff I talk about with him. And vice versa - what he talks to his mates about, he talks to me about.

Just talk as if you were with your best friend - girls don't JUST like talking about boys and fashion and tv shows you know! ;)

This is so true. When i feel like he is my best friend we are much closer. We can really talk about anything. We haven't set bounds on where our conversation goes. Of course there are some obvious things we probably won't strike up conversation about (like periods.. you get the picture), but if there are questions, even then we are able to talk about it.

... until they reach the golden age of 42 ... and then they forget what they were talking about.

On a serious note: Talking about the world and all the idiosyncracies of Life that we can never seem to figure out. It's a funny thing because no matter how much we talk about them, we never figure them out. Yet, it gives us something productive to do before we die.

When talk about anything, I afraid gossip may come in. Not easy to recognise when is a gossip when is not, I guess.

What do boys and girls, men and women normally talk about during a relationship?

...That is a really good question...I'd like to know. Is it bad if everything and anything is discussed besides the relationship itself or the future? I know that in the past, my boyfriends and I have talked about almost everything and would share a lot with me.

Should I be worried if my current boyfriend seems so tight-liped about things? I know he doesn't like to talk on the phone, but I think he feels obligated to talk to me when he doesn't really want to. He doesn't seem as though he likes to share many things with me. Or, maybe the relationship itself isn't as serious as I thought it was/is so we don't need to share that much. Hmmm...I don't know, I think he's just bored with me now lol.

God bless and Merry Christmas!
