  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Fellowship is extremely important. It helps us to be uplifted by others and to just have people as friends. Jesus really wants us to have more than just us. He tells us that Where two are I will be also. And that goes for more than two as well.

Let me start with this...

How did people come to christ?

What is your feelings about Christ?

What do you really love about Christ?

Ask your own questions and lets really get to know each other. HAVE FUN!

I came to Christ for REAL after
Thinking I was "saved" twice
As the third time was the charm
At nineteen and was baptized them
You see I was baptized and then saved
When you should had been the other way around.

I love Christ and worship and praise Him
He saved me through His death and resurrection
On the cross and grave.

I came to Christ when I was 15, on Easter Sunday. In the middle of the song, Christ the Lord is Risen Today, I looked up to heaven and whispered, "Ok, God, I'm yours." I felt Him enter my heart, and I've never been the same since.

What does Christ mean to me? He's my companion who never leaves me. It's so great not to be all alone inside my skin! I remember the loneliness, the emptiness before He came in, and I'm so thankful. He's my moral compass, keeping me pointing the right way. He's my joy, my strength, the One I know I can fall back on should I lose everything and everyone else in my life.

What do I love most about Jesus? That He was so brave and heroic, to face the cross, and yet so gentle and compassionate that women like me followed Him, just wanting to sit at His feet and learn from Him. They weren't used to being treated as worthy to learn about God, but were used to being kept in the outer courts of the temple. Jesus did away with all that. The first people He appeared to when He rose from the dead were women, and the first whom He spoke to was Mary Magdalene.

Jesus never cared what anyone thought when He was on earth-- He only cared about loving and doing right. And He did it to the bitter end. He's my hero, and my true love.

I am so glad that so you guys really love Christ.
Here is what I have to say...

My testimony is actually rather long, but I will keep it quite simple. I came to Christ soon after I was released from the hospital for a suicide attempt. A few years later I got involved with a UPC church. I found that I loved the way the church worshiped but was not sure about the beliefs. Only about two weeks ago did I give up on the beliefs of the church. I don't have a denomination anymore. I just am following what Jesus tells me to follow and believing what he tells me to believe. Nothing else.

I love Jesus so much. He really has done so much for me. He really brought me out of a huge pit that there was no way I could have crawled out of myself.

I love that he died on the cross for us and that he loves us so much that he is willing to just be here for us all.

What do I love about Christ? He is altogether lovely! I couldn't pick just one quality that stands out! ^_^
I love his gentleness and compassion, his kindness and acceptance. I love the way he always understands, because there is nothing we are going through that he himself did not go through, and he is never quick to get angry or impatient with us. I love his poetic, beautiful nature. I love his patience, the way he just listens. I love the way you can never be in doubt for too long with Jesus, because he is there with the answer (whether I was expecting it or not). I love the way he is creative and artistic, and this shows through the incredible works he has made. I simply adore him!! I love everything about him!

Sorry if I raved on a bit! :p
Your sister in Christ,
~Steph

I came to Christ for after the death of my father and my mother, I love my mother so much in the sense that I am think my mother will not die, I said in me that if anything should happen to my mother that I will die, but as God may have it, My mother died, after my cryings and mournings, I later turned to GOD bcos HE is the Author and the Finisher of my faith.
I know God is my strenght, I was named Godspower That is in my local dialet (CHIBUIKE)
When you should had been the other way around.
I love Christ and worship and praise Him
He saved me through His death and resurrection
On the cross and grave. sO, I think I will worship Him Untill Iget married and pass it over to my children when I am married.
