If God does not enter your kitchen, there is something wrong with your kitchen. If you can't take God into your recreation, there is something wrong with your play. We all believe in the God of the heroic. What we need most these days is the God of the humdrum, the commonplace, the everyday. -- Peter Marshall, Sr.

So, what do you have planned for today? What's going on? Do you have a big "to-do" list? Full calendar? Busy, busy, busy.

Stop and think about all you have to do today and the places you need to go. How many of those can you handle on your own and how many do you need God to go with you? It's easy to crowd our lives with activity and forget that we really need God to go with us everywhere. We need him involved in everything. You see, any moment, any activity can have spiritual ramifications. At any time, and at any place we may have an opportunity to bear fruit, to witness to the grace and mercy we've received in the cross of Jesus. You need God to go with you. You need God involved in every detail of your life.

Moses said it this way:

Then he said to Him, "If Your Presence does not go with us, do not bring us up form here. For how then will it be known that Your people and I have found grace in Your sight, except You go with us? So we shall be separate, Your people and I, from all the people who are upon the face of the earth." Exodus 33:15,16 (NKJV).

Father, forgive us for so often going about our daily lives without any thought as to your constant presence with us. Go with us today Lord to wherever we go and whatever we do. Help us remember that you are with us and that we need you, for apart from you, we can do nothing. Make us people of grace at all times. Amen.
