CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Ideally they should never be optional skill-sets. With perhaps the exception of "taking a hint," meh, people will always do that to varying degrees, and some people don't really care even if they get the hint, haha.

Certainly BA, but jeeze, I think keeping your distance is important. I mean I know how it is to be into someone and not have it reciprocated, but you can respect the person and stay a very good distance. I mean I joked about stalkers, but seriously I was referring to someone that I was interested in.. and then by all means feel free to stalk, lol. But seriously..

lol. Like I said, its okay if the person is interested back at you, but if not, its a good way to push someone to have to be rude because you couldn't take a hint.

I think these skills are crucial, especially if you like a female that has above average looks; she'll be quite accustomed to guys approaching her and needing to use these techniques to thin out the herd.

Yes, very true. Attractive women definitely have their pick of suitors. They can afford to be picky because they're in demand. And hence it is up to the Man to separate himself from the herd.

But discernment is crucial, whether you're a man or a woman, if you sense interest by all means, see if there is something deeper, but do take hints if there isn't anything there.

Some people are clueless and don't take hints - just tell them you are not interested. I may seem mean, but the latter can be considered stringing along.
