• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Seems to be wrong on me. I don't agree 100% with either candidate, I really wish we had a real and clear choice. In my voting lifetime I have not seen a real candidate for president. It is a shame that it all gets reduced to He said/He said. They should just make the candidates debate in every major city, televise the things, and then let us vote. If they can't get a popular vote for any candidate they should have to run the campaign again with new candidates. That way the American people would have a clear choice instead of being stuck with 2 guys who are neither one is fit as a candidate. Just an opinion. But I think electorial reform should be a priority in USA.

I assume you'd like to abolish the senate as well.
I think that we have the technology and the education to do away with Electoral College. That was added basically to allow states that had high illiteracy rates to still have a say in the elections. Doing away with electoral votes puts the election in the hands of the people where it belongs.

To abolish the senate is a bit extreme. It would be a good idea to limit the senators to 2 terms like we do the president. Further, it wouldn't be a bad idea to change appointees to Supreme court every 3 or 4 administrations.

For the most part, you're a Kerry supporter
I love quizzes! I love having 5 parties to pick from! And Kerry is a pretty good guy, I think he would be respectful to his own great nation of America, and to the other great nations out there, and to the civillians of nations that are not so great. (which is usually due to the imposed/dictator government, while the people are hardworking! )

Came across this quiz several weeks ago. It might help those of you who are undecided to figure out which candidate most closely stands for what you believe.

Wow - You really must like Kerry!
Meh. A couple of months ago, someone in the Republican forum posted a similar quiz, except it included everyone in the primaries and independents and so on. 40% of the time, my answers agreed with Moseley-Braun, my highest score. I think Kerry scored about 17% for my answers, and Bush was a compassionate 0%.

LOL, I got Bush/Kerry It's almost a toss-up for you.

One of the more biased political quizzes I've taken and this one is meant to be nothing more than a joke.

Personally, I am a fan of this site's quiz: http://www.politopia.com/index.htm
