  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Tackling our weaknesses

In Romans it plainly says we fall short of the glory of God, that we find ourselves dead in sin and in need of a Savior. I've accepted that fact, and have asked the Lord to straighten out my life.

Today I heard a radio broadcast on how if your financial house isn't in order, the rest of your relationships won't be either. It was a slam, because my finances are ruled by worry and lack of generosity. Once I absorb some of the truth about myself, another major truth about my personality comes at me, and it seems more than I can handle. I'm a wreck!

How do you deal with the journey that always shows you how wretched you are? I know we are to rejoice in these times. But I will never be able to permantly fix these problems. When I die, I will have remnants of all types of sins left in some form.

So why are the radio preachers acting like you can get rid of all of these problems? Maybe my faith is too weak. But that same radio preacher will tell you in a week of another weakness we face that has to be tackled. When will it end?

Glad to know I'm not the only one! I recently heard this saying: "fear is the opposite of faith" and it rings true for me. I worry about worrying. We will all face fears and worries, and ideally we would feel the check in our spirit and turn to Christ for comfort. By doing that, we increase our faith. There was only one perfect person that ever walked this earth. Neither one of us will ever achieve perfection as long as we are alive. Trust in God and know that He's growing you! TV and radio preachers don't usually share their bad times so we don't see/hear the complete picture. We are all sinners and no one has anything so special in them that makes them better in Christ's eyes. Prayers!
