I find this discussion quite interesting. I can see both sides of the equasion. The Vatican II documents forbid, as I recall, do not permit the Blessed Sacrament to be reserved in two places in the same Church. There is to be one tabernacle, no more. Thus, when there is one in a Blessed Sacrament Chapel, there is not to be a second one placed behind the Main Altar.
Blessings,
Fr. Rob
The church I was speaking of with the tabernacle behind the altar, and also the perpetual adoration chapel does not have two tabernacles. The tabernacle is in the main church. The adoration chapel has a monstrance. The chapel is also separate from the main church.
Also your worry about theft, (which I didn't quote here) can be put at rest. It's a Perpetual Adoration chapel. That means that there is always at least one or more people there with the Host.
