CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hello brother! Your ref. to Jer. 23:6 caught my attention since I have been in conversation with one about Israel's future, since he wondered about the 'covenant' (promise) God made with them. It is an important study, not only to know what the picture is, but for saints to see how the Church is separate from the Israelite religion of old.
Presently their religion has been terminated ---set aside at least, since they killed their Messiah. In a day to come as shown in Revelation 7 the tribes will ALL be restored on the "new earth"; and will again be God's earthly people by His Covenant with them to rule under the Lord on earth. Only the saved souls ("born again" saints) of Israel today who receive their Messiah: the Lord Jesus, will be in Heaven with the redeemed Gentiles who also saw the need to receive the Savior. Christians need to see this picture to understand the Israelites. We hear many Christians not seeing the difference between Jews and Christians in the mind of God ---would you say?
Sadly today thousands of so-called 'Jews' in this age will be cast away for holding to that religion which killed God's Son. Israel is yet God's covenant people and His promises are sure, but they have been set aside and much troubled in the world since that awful time. It is God's mercies that He keeps His promises ---even to you and I who were blessed to come to know God's "...so great salvation" in the Lord Jesus. Thank God for His mercies to those who bow to Him.
Well, that verse in Jeremiah 23:6 jogged my memory, brother, and helped me put the whole picture together more clearly. I hope these thoughts are clear. Look up! -1watchman.
