T.V. influences our minds, our soceity, how people think, it even influences peoples morals.
For today the television in our soap operas tells us what's moral and how we should live, they show the homosexual as angelic, the woman who sleeps around as some kind of strong woman, the one who's offended by homosexuals is seen as the one who's confused and in the wrong.
The woman who sleeps around and is proud of it is seen as a role model for women, the same with the timidly betrayed homosexual.
Those who condone the homosexual is seen as a righteous person, and those who don't are immoral.
The T.V. portrays the Christian as some nutcase, unless of course he is the village vicar and then he's angelic and sympathetic to all, but strange thing is he never mentions Christ.
He's just sort of the village counsellor(physcatrist) to all, but he's never concerned with preaching the Gospel, Christ is never even mentioned, unless in cursing.
This is brittish t.v. i'm talking of, don't know if it's slightly different in America.
But i'm sure it's full of trash and has a very strong influence on your soceity also.
Why do we sit around watching t.v. and maybe playing video games.
Is this our entertainment to fullfill our minds and craving in our stomachs.
I know myself i've been engrossed in t.v. and video games and couldn't pulll myself away, it had this grasp on me and would keep me entertained for hours.
The video games were like an addiction, they gave a sort of excitment in the stomach.
But what did they ever do but keep me from God, for can you serve God and watch t.v., or serve God and play video games.
I know there are a small number of Christian t.v. stations and t.v. can be used to spread Gods Word, but it doesn't mean it's not mostly full of trash.
Why do we need to use these things to keep us amused, is it Gods will to waste hours of our lives devoted to these things that occumplish nothing.
Do they fullfill us, we may long after our daily dose of t.v. or accomplishing something on a video game, but they don't fullfill us, only serving God fullfills us.
There is nothing of this world that comes close, for all of this world leave us thirsting and coming back for more and never fullfiled, and we may even know what we do is pointless and wasting our lives but we become trapped in the same routine, under the inventions of man, amazed at his new invention wanting after it, when it's nothing when it gloryfies man and is of no purpose when it just fullfills our pointless desires.
Only when we use this world to glroyfy God does it turn into gold, a beautiful treasure created at His hand to serve Him with a pure heart.
For everything used to serve God becomes transformed from useless waste to a glorious treasure.
For we were once worthless, useless individuals wasting away our lives on serving ourselves and being influenced by this world, listening to what man tells us is right, to what suited us and aligned to our desires.
But through Christ we break away from the clutches of the world and it's influences, we live by the Word of the Creator, we purify our hearts by His gospel, living everyday by His love crucyfying the lusts and affections of the world and living by the Holy Word of God.
