Well they definitly believe in somthing, as as they mention faith and spirit, I'm assuming it's christianity.

SOAD are a very controversial and political band who's lyrics can be interpreted in so many ways (bounce) and the lyrics talk about polital and world views (jet pilot), not just their own.

I have been on discussion boards about their lyrics on several occasions and the responces have great variety. I will not stop listening to one of my favorite bands because they have a few lyrics that i disagree with.

They thank Satan on one of their cd's and say that he and allah are beautiful. No, they aren't christians...and no, music won't send you to hell...however, If I were God, would I want my children listening and supporting someone who thanks my enemy?

I don't think God is that insecure. The cool thing about being God is that you don't have to have an inferiority complex.

Insecure? God deserves more from you than that! He demands that you live holy. How many times in the bible did he destroy false gods? Moses made the people grind down their golden calf and drink it. Is that insecure? False gods made the top ten! lol. Don't take the things that God despises lightly. We're supposed to be the light of the world, we're supposed to give the world something new. God doesn't have an inferiority complex because he knows that he alone is good and worthy of all praise and worthy of your life. Bout time some people here figured that out as well.

System of a Down are talented muscians. I like music that is made by talented musicians. Therefore, I like System of a Down. It has nothing to do with their beliefs; it has everything to do with their music.

When you go to a restauraunt to do you check to make sure that the chef is a god-fearing Christian before you order? No! If you like the food you eat the food regardless of what the person who made it believes, because it's not about their doctrines, it's about what they produce.

This whole issue lines up almost exactly with Paul's references to meat sacrificed to idols. If you have a conviction about listening to such music, then don't listen to it, but don't stand in the way of your brothers excercizing their christian liberty.

they are armenian so they were influenced by christian ideas as youth but I don't think they consider themselves christians now
