CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

For clarity, I am using "material" according to the definition "elating to, derived from, or consisting of matter, physical."

You have posted information that you know to be fallacious to prove a point.
When someone resorts to insults, it generally means they are running out of ammunition and are throwing everything they can into the argument to get the other person to leave. You were caught and are now angry that I didnt ignore it, that is not my problem.

People are stubbourn but the brain is fickle. Have you ever heard of a sexual fetish. Someone can be sexually turned on by something that seemingly has no connection to sex. But one's mind can be trained to
associate an object or sound with sex. Rember Pavlov and his dogs. If a bell was rung every time before I had sex eventually the ringing of the bell alone could turn me on sexually. In a like manner the male mind could be trained to associate another male body with sex and the female body with disgust. I assume this is how one becomes gay in the first place, for whatever reason they begin early in life to associate the same sex with sexual pleasure.
Don't balme your sin on your gentics. My genetics make me want to have sex with every attractive woman whether or not they want it. My genetics make me want to use physcial violence to slove disagreements with other men. But I do not do these things, and thanks to God's help my body's desire for such things is almost none existent. We are all predisosed to certain sins of the flesh but that does not mean that they are okay to commit.

Don't worry about NeTrips. I'm sure the mods will take care of his insulting posts (i.e. "Sleezie" - come on NeTrips, that's pretty freakin' low for an alleged christian). Also, everyone -EVERYONE- in this thread that has read the DSM knows that the information he provided is false. Period. Just brush it off, and don't let this guy get under your skin - cuz that's exactly what he's trying to do.
EDIT: This type of dialog just goes to show that the previous claim of "we only want to help because we are concerned christians" is utter garbage. They simply hate us, and try to sugar coat it with "the good message". It's baloney, and we all see it for what it really is.
