they are a pretty cool band, AWESOME live...well worth the $50 i had to spend. They have a ton of older cds too, not just the newest one...but the new one is equally good.

Are you sure? I can't imagine this, they did some of the summer festivals, this year. I saw them at Creation East! I will be PMing you to ask you about this, has anyone heard this, is it true?

Well, I believe they're still Christian...even though they seem to be leaning more towards the secular side in music...

I am a switchfoot fan tooo!!!!! Love them and have two albums, I am am waiting for Legend of Chin and New way to be human to come in the mail!
I have a question though...
I noticed in the learning to breath CD, in the lyrics, that they capitalized "YOU" and "YOUR" b/c of them referencing the Lord and to be proper...However, in this new CD, they don't capitalize!! Are they not talking about GOD then? LIke in "On Fire"? Or is it b/c they have made it big and are trying to fit into secularism????
Just an observation, a disappointing one really...
Please tell me I am wrong...

I just read some of your responses about switchfoot..TELL ME IT ISn'T TRUE!!! I really hope they didn't denounce Christianity. I will be so upset! I just became a fan and it is the lyrics that draw me to them. I really hope that this is just rumors. Could somebody post a link for evidence of this?

Switchfoot haven't denounced Christianity. Thank goodness.
There are precious few good Christian bands as it is!

Have to say, though...
Beautiful Letdown was a lot of letdown, and not a lot of beautiful.

yeah, they are christian...and i like them a lot. they have really become main stream lately though...which is annoying...i just hope they dont sell out like some christian bands do once they become "popular"
