Switchfoot started to be overrated the moment radio started playing "Meant to Live" every 6 seconds. But I still they are a talented band. Jon Foreman won the 2003 Les Paul Award for best Up and Coming Guitarist, and their old records are great.

I just had to give a shout to out to Switchfoot for all their hard work. They are finally getting the recognition they deserve! I'm so happy for them.

Yeah, I'm 41 years old and I listen to them a lot. I think they are one of the best Christian Alternative bands out there.

i was really suprised the other day, I was changing channels on tv and the football (australian rules) was on and I thought, hang on, i know that song - I work at a christian radio station - we play 100% christian music so it really suprised me when i realised i knew the song cause we play it on the radio!

it was "dare you to move"

THEN, a few days later, I was sitting in the shopping centre (mall for you 'mericans) and what do you know, i hear the song again! I thought - weird. I asked the girl at the music store about the song and told her it's a Christian band that we play at our radio station - she seemed quite suprised. I guess they released on a secular lable?

i should add, that here in Australia - christians are looked on pretty negatively, we don't have the same christian culture you have in the US - not by a long shot, despite what you may have the impression of with the likes of Hillsong being so "popular"

anywya, that's kinda my experience with Switchfoot - i dont' realy know any of their other music, we're a new radio station so we're still developing our music database
