  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I love the person who invented swings for infants. I just got one yesterday and Christian loves it. And I love it to, cause when she is in it she stops fussing. THough she isn't really to fussy of a baby, it is just around 2-3pm she gets really fussy. Anyway I just wanted to say that I LOVE BABY SWINGS!!!

I hear you!! We didn't get one initially for Andie, either....then broke down & bought one...best thing we could do! She got fussy in the late afternoon/early evening...usually right around supper time! lol So the swing gave us some reprieve so I could cook dinner & we could eat...

yeah, I love my MIL, she gave hers to us. Seeing as the next youngest grand kid is exactly one year older than Christian. It is really funny that my BIL's daughter was born on March 16, 2004 and then our, my husband and my, daughter was born on March 16, 2005.

do they are great. And Christian is sleeping 6 hours at night now. My mom keeps telling that I was blessed with a great baby.

  6 hours a night already?? Wow, that's awesome!!

I remember the first time Andie slept that long...I was so used to waking up every 3 hours I was freaking out!! I ran into her room convinced of the worst...& there she was sleeping like a little angel!

Of course, I woke her up as I was frantically checking to see if she was still breathing!!:p

Natalie loves her swing too. It's a little "Take Along" swing, so it's easy to move around the house (and doesn't take up a ton of space!) and we can even take it with us on trips.

She's also (usually) sleeping about 6 hours at night. She seems to eat more in the evening to "stock up" on calories to get through that longer sleep time.

Swings are awesome. My son still had 3 hours between feedings even on formula although most things I read said 4. But he was hungry every 3 hours, maybe to make up for at night when he slept through. He started doing 6 hours after just a few weeks (skipping on night feeding) and extended to 10-12 hours by 8-10 weeks old. Thank GOD for sleep.
