that is a new one...i heard that it was a midevil term that stood for "Fornication Under Consent of the King" cause you had to get permission from the king to procreate or something and they would give you something to hang in your house...jeffthefinn said:The F word became a no no because it was associated with Swedish Farmers in Illinois because they would f the ground, which the word is Nortic in origen. It was deemed low class.
A person could use totally acceptable speech to demean someone, so it is how the words are used. In some of the speech patterns that kids use, it is bad speech, like fillers, but naughty words I doubt it.

maybe..though i ask how poo is bad...cause you know the "s" word doesn't mean anything that poo poo...so how is it bad? and the "f" word is deemed the worst in american culture, but as a christian wouldn't saying "d" you be worse, cause that is basically saying i wish you would burn in hell for all eternity...Catholicboy7777 said:I think they are wrong. They are always used badly.
Thats what I always said! lolMongoose said:It says "thou shalt not say the lord's name in vain".
Is God's name the F-word?... Didn't think so.
Yes, after all what is a word, any word, but a group of letters. What makes one word worse than another. It is the inference behind the word which is really the issue. If you substitute another word for a swear word, but use it in the same context, the implication is still the same.Bonhoffer said:I totally agree that swearings all about the context its used in.
It would be more sinful to say "Fish 0ff" with hatred and anger behind it than it would be to say "F off" in an affectionate manner.
