Surveys of bible colleges on their eschatology? Premil, Amil, vs Postmil? Which is the most common?

Hi guys,
Before we start - can we please not get into the same old debates about eschatology in this thread?

I just would like one thread to update us on surveys into the actual dry statistics of which view is most popular - whether we like the results or not.

If interested in this project - could you please bookmark this thread and update it if you come across anything in the years to come. In that way I'll be notified.

For the record - I'm Amil - and do not rejoice in this survey I found. But hey? That's the point of this thread.

I found this - but I'm not sure it's up to date or the biggest sample taken. Anyone found other statistics?

The January Evangelical Leaders Survey showed that 65 percent identify with premillennial theology, 13 percent with amillennial and 4 percent with postmillennial. Seventeen percent responded “other.”
The various millennial views stem from different interpretations of Revelation 20, which speaks of the binding of Satan and the reign of Christ and his followers on earth for 1,000 years (a “millennium”).

It would've been helpful if it indicated how many people were surveyed. And where the ones surveyed were located. Are they only from the U.S. or also from other countries? I don't see that information in the article.

Of course. That's why I'm asking him where the people who are part of the survey are located. If they are all located in the U.S. then it doesn't mean much because it doesn't represent the church as a whole in that case. I know Christians in other countries are not influenced by the Left Behind books and other pre-trib and premil nonsense like that as much as people are in the U.S.

Sure. But, I think most here on this forum are from the U.S., so I'm not sure how helpful it will be to get input from people here unless you were just looking for what people in the U.S. believe in particular. But, we'll see. Maybe someone has some info that reflects how Christians around the world understand Revelation 20.

My Seminary advocates premillennialism and a pretribulation rapture and is also a founder of dispensational thought @ Dallas Theological Seminary.

"Our community brings together Reformed, Holiness, Anabaptist, Pentecostal, Charismatic and other traditions."

From their website. The monthly poll includes CEO's, administrators, and leaders across all these diverse platforms. The group is located in Washington DC, thus mainly the US.

Sounds like your normal run of Evangelicals across the country from all different perspectives of life.

The article was from 2011.

I'm curious as to what the "Other" is? Are there possibilities outside the main three? (Premill, amill and postmill)
