  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I haven't been in the water in a long time, but I used to do a lot of surfing on the north west U S coast. Northern California, Oregon, and the Washington coast. It's colder than heck, but the surf can be world class. I now live on the Texas Gulf coast. I plan on buying a long board later this year, but Gulf coast surfing is definitely a different ball game. Mostly small mushy waves, but at least the water and air temp is warm most of the year. By the way head high is enough for me as well. I've been out in double overhead a few times but it was a lot more work than fun. Just never got that good.

hey you surf smurfs, its markus landlocked in germany, have surfed a bit after school back like 10yrs ago this summer should definitely get some water under my boards.
every minute waves are breaking somewhere most of them unridden. i have so far an 8´6´´ GUL Longboard and a 6´10´´ minigun. definitely wanna try a fish also to goof around in small wishy washy waves. surfing can be so much from messing around in the shorebreak, to competitive surfing, to longboarding, to big wave stuff, its a beautiful sport ! surf breaks even in israel but not so quality, but you can still surf it. now i downloaded google earth (new version) and they have plugins for wannasurf.com and you can see all the spots. how cool is that ?

After a youth in which sidewalk surfing became popular, followed by roller-boarding and roller-blading, my first surfing experience in the coastal waves was at Cocoa Beach on Cape Canaveral. The waves are rolling, creating persuasive action and definite need for balance skill, the 3' lip is common. Skim boarding on the lakes is my newest leisure recreation.

I still listen to surf music!^_^
