  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

just got a call from a friend thats doing surf board art for this animal welfare thing.its going to be cool.he's going to take his surf board and paint different flags all over it,auction it off.I need to think of one to make before Sept.10th I have not a clue!! what can I put on a surf board?

would you also be making one to auction off? If so, you would need to look into your target audience a little and find out what kinds of things they might want to pay for. Or you could just make an art piece about somehting you really love and hope that someone else shares your passion fo rthat thing. ONe of my favorite things to paint for my own interests are wild cats. So for example, if I was doing a painting on a surf board I might paint a picture of a tiger runing through the water. I don't know, be really creative but keep your audience in mind cause surfers may not be the kind of people who like abstract art or maybe they are.
