I like it. For "Surely", could be found being used as less than in-faith if it were a generalization of God's G&M. Like the Apostle said, act and speak in specifics when possible,

“Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,” but you do not give them the things which are needed, ,what does it profit?" (James 2:16)​

This is not about "doing good works" to earn salvation but the result of being saved. "... the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also." Jam 2:26

It's a medium of exchange. One example is stated byJesus "... It is more blessed to give than to receive." Acts 20 The same is shown in Jam 2 'Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar? 22 Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect? 23 And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God." Also, "Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when she had received the messengers, and had sent them out another way?" v 26

God helps us even when we dont realize it. Definitely!

Without a doubt, God's goodness and mercy is with us.
