Actually, I don't see how the experiment would prove evolution correct, anyway. What could you do with a one-time use time machine that would do that?

Man, so many nit pickers. Yes, of course going back in time to a specific moment would not in and of itself prove common descent beyond a doubt. That wasn't the point of the question and most people wont realize that when they're focused on the point of the question. And even those who do will realize that wasn't the point and so wont care. But, I must confess, you got me there I guess...

No, most got the point, and the response was a bit scary, with so many YEC's willing to abandon Christianity if it turned out their view of origins was not correct. This is what the modern YEC movement is producing.
