CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

umm... i'm pretty sure she's just looking for people to show some moral support to her fiance not to have her relationship picked apart

Where'd you get the year-and-a-half thing? I think she's been seeing him since about April if I'm not mistaken? He got into a wrestling accident and after he healed up a bit he took her out on a date and proposed... I think...

I'm making sure we don't need to throw a "you're too young to get married to just chill for a while and maybe go to college or something" party. i'm doing this because i'm out of balloons, and i'd need to go to the store.
i feel like 18 months is probably the minimum amount of time you can know someone and reasonably decide to marry them.

Meh, Jordan and I were together 7 months when he proposed. Whatever works. I do have my concerns about the OP's situation, but this ain't the thread for it
