If you could have a sit down supper with any 3 people dead or alive who would it be? and Why?

Here are mine:
1. Paul (of the Bible times) - He went through so much I would love to hear his stories.
2. Joshua (bible)- Hear what it was like to watch Moses one of the greatest leaders teach him hoew to lead
3. Mike - My Dad's Brother (my uncle)- He died of cancer when my dad was 16 he was 18. Never got to meet him and everyone said he was awesome.

Honerable Mention-
Ben Franklin- like to pick his brain
Thomas Jefferson- would want him to tell me about the revolution
Ty Cobb- always liked him
Nolan Ryan- Favorite pitcher
Nash Buckingham- Because of the stories he could tell of duck hunting
William Barclay- Great Theological mind
My Great Grandpa- He died when i was 3. He fished and hunted
everyday of his life they say.
My wife's Granpaws- both died when she was young. Never met them.

Hmm...

1. King Josiah. Solomon had the wisdom, but Josiah had the guts to use it. If I could learn anything worthwhile from king Josiah, it would be great.

2. Eisenhower. Why in the world he decided to do what he did with all that "alien" technology from Roswell and beyond. Why keep it such a secret? He set up the perfect situation for the shadow govt we now have, and I'd love to hear why.

3. Baron Munchausen. Let's face it: the man had an extremely interesting life. Great for dinner conversation.

and those are my three choices. :)

Jesse James- Just so I can ask him why he let Robert Ford kill him, and enjoy a nice steak with one of the most infamous men in US history.

My great great grandmother
- She's pure Native American Indian of the Shawnee tribe. I want to see some of my history and rituals from that side of the family, because my grandmother is the only one left, and none of them were taught to her since she was raised Christian.

Victor Wooten- I could learn some cool things from him on the bass, and he's a great guy. :)

I don't see any reason to dine with the apostles, or somebody from the bible because if their story was more than what was told, then it would have been told. :)

Living:
Mark Schultz: Because he is my absolute favorite Christian singer of all time!
Cassie: She's my bestest best friend in the world, and I haven't seen her in over a year. Her mom is in the military and got transfered to Germany last year. Would love to see her again!
Krasi: He's a friend of mine who lives in Bulgaria. It would be great to see him again and get to catch up on everything that's happened since I was over there.

Dead:
Phillip: No, not the biblical Phillip. My grandpa on my dad's side. He died before I was born, so I never had the chance to meet him and get to know him.
Ruby: Grandma on my dad's side. She died 6 years ago right before Christmas. She was a major part of my life, and I miss her sooo much. I woud love to be able to sit down and talk to her again, and let her know what's all happened in my life since she died.
Spencer: My nephew who died of SIDS when he was a month old. I live 2,000 miles away from my family, and never even got to meet him. I just want to be able to hold him and tell him how much I love him and miss him.

Now, in both cases, my hubby is a given. I wouldn't want to go out to dinner without him. Plus he never got to meet G'ma before she died, and if I was able to have dinner with my grandparents, I would want him to be able to meet them too.

I know I probably broke the rules... But I have 3 living people I would want to have dinner with. And 3 dead people I would want to have dinner with. There are so many more that I could add to the list... But 5 of these people are very important to me, and mean a lot to me. (I put Mark Schultz in there, because who doesn't want to have a chance to have dinner with their favorite singer! It would be great to pick his brain and find out the inspiration behind some of his songs. :D)

Hmmm...This is tough.

1. My fiance. I miss him so much...It feels like forever since I've gotten to have dinner with him.
2. An archaeologist or historian from the future. They would get a great opportunity to see life as it was like in the distant past, and we would get to learn about the future.
3. My geekiness compels me to invite some sort of literary figure. Shakespeare came to mind, but then it occurred to me that I probably wouldn't understand half of his Elizabethan slang. If what he said was magically translated for me, then that defeats the purpose of inviting him, which, wit and writing ability aside, is curiosity over whether he actually spoke eloquently. Someone from the Romantic period might be a better choice...

1. My mom's dad. He died when she was 15. I miss him even though I never met him, because the way she talks about him makes him sound like a really amazing man.
2. C.S. Lewis. This man was an absolute genius in my opinion, and I would love to have a (long) conversation with him.
3. Michael Buble. (Assuming he would sing for me...) His voice makes me melt. :)
