Anyone keeping up with this show?

I started watching is last summer after falling out of the Torchwood fandom. (I won't say why, but if you saw the mini-series last spring you'll know why.) I ended up spending the summer and most of the fall semester catching up with all the previous seasons and now I'm caught up, which is almost worse than being behind.
Now I have to wait a whole week between episodes.

Let's try to keep the discussion free of too many spoilers please, and warn if you are going to talk about specific plot from the last few episodes.

I love this show because of it's take on Heaven and Hell in the last couple of seasons...though I must admit that I liked the writing in seasons 1 and 2 a lot better. The plot is more complex now, but the dialog seems to have lost some of the "oomph" it used to have.

The characters have developed nicely though. Although it is a bit of an angst fest now.

Who's your favorite character?

For me it's a tie between Castiel and Gabriel. They both have such different personalities and ways of handling trouble. I love Dean, but his character annoys me on occasion as well.

I've been a fan of the series since, roughly, half way through the first season.
No doubt that it was the writing and original dialogue that kept me watching the show.
I do agree that these have dropped a bit in the last couple of seasons while the over all plot has deepened and that the direction of the series has gain strength.

Early on my favorite character was Dean. He reminded me a bit of me when I was in my late teens and early twenties. Now I would have to say that my favs are Bobby and Castiel.

I am interested in seeing how the current mega-plot gets resolved.
nice to know that there is someone else here who enjoys the series.

I'm a huge fan of the series, I'm up to date with the series, can't wait for the new season to arrive. I wonder how they will keep the plot going now that Lucifer has been defeated.

I have not been all that impressed with this season...it just feels weird and I don't like it. Maybe eventually when the plot is better explained I'll be more into it.

Aw man... I love the series~! I got all the seasons on DVD and I forgot to see what the newest season was airing... and now I'm so behind. >_< Plus to make it worst, I have to go to work on Friday nights around 9pm. ;-;
