Did anyone watch the show Supernatural on the WB tonight? I did and I just have to say that that show is sort of scary. I don't know why I thought that show was going to be not scary.

I knew something was going to happen at the end when it looked like the show was over.

Ok, the show isn't that scary. It just sort of jumps out at you sometimes.

It's not about witchcraft. These two brothers are trying to find their father and along the way they fight paranormal stuff like they did when they were younger. Witch stuff is more along the lines of Charmed, another WB show.

I saw the pilot tonight and really enjoyed it. It wasn't that scary to me though. I mean it was definitely creepy and there were some good moments but I've seen worse in movies. I like the two main actors in it, especially Jensen Ackles. I also liked him in Dark Angel and on Days of our Lives.

Actually it does have some, yeah sure they are mostly about killing the thing that killed their mom but the dad did have some satanic stuff apprently to ward off the demons or what not.

If you like it that's cool, I don't think I'll be watching it again any time soon anyway...way too scary to watch with a 7 year old.

That's really cool! Were you guys friends? Is he a pretty nice guy? From interviews I've read he seems pretty down to earth.

Linnis yeah I understand about the seven year old. It's kind of an adult show and I'm not sure that many kids would be into it.

it's not too scary. but i guess it depends what stuff scares you. like for me, it's the stuff that plays with your mind that i find scary. shows that makes you anticipate more than shows that have things jumping out at you. i thought it was more of a..um...thriller.

however, i did enjoy it. ending was kinda weird...didnt' feel like it fit in. wrong timing. xD

I'm the opposite of you on that. I'm scared at things jumping out at you, not the stuff that plays with your mind.

Yeah, I still enjoyed it too even thought it freaked me out. I anticipated that ending when everything just seemed to go right at the end. I knew something was coming. But it was kinda weird at the end.

We're both from the Dallas area....Richardson to be exact. We both graduated from Berkner High School. He is a really nice guy, it's funny cause about a year ago my family went to an old hamburger joint and him and his family were there. He was wearing this hat and sun glasses.....I knew exactly who he was. :D

I thought it was a great show! Of course, I'm a sucker for horror, so I was all over it.

I wonder if the guys are going to find their dad within the first few episodes, or if the entire show will consist of him giving them clues to his next location and them following him from spot to spot?

Edited to add: I think the writers are taking a big risk by giving us a big secret (in this case, who is the entity that did what it did and why did he do it?). If they reveal The Big Secret too early, viewers may lose interest in the show. But if they string viewers along forever, viewers may get frustrated and start watching the show.

I hope they don't find him right away, although it seems like this is going to be a show of mostly standalone episodes anyway. I think it's going to work fine if they can just keep it interesting. Some theme running through the whole season that builds up to the end would be great though. Also Pickle, that's really great that you went to high school with him. I'm glad to know he's a nice guy. I really loved his character Alec on Dark Angel because he was so witty and funny. I hope his new show at least lasts till the end of the season because I'm into it so far.

So why and how did the "thing" find the guy's girlfriend and kill her? I mean he went along for 22 years and suddenly it finds him? What did the two brothers do that caused the "thing" to find the one borther and target his girlfriend?
