  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Really nice. The red under the tree branch flattens the image a little. If it was closer to the color of the orange behind the butterfly it will recede and create a little more depth. Great composition and color!

Thanks for the feedback. I will have to check out the effect of adjusting the color to a little close.

Yeah thanks, i just haven't taken any good photos to upload and post, but planning on doing so soon. My wife is getting me a whole roll of YUPO for Christmas. It's like 36inches by 30 yards! I'll never run out. But knowing myself Ill probably i'll switch back to canvas. lol

I don't do anything in Church with these skills, but I got ahold of a hymnal from church when they were swapping out the old for the new, and I like to play those songs on the public piano at my college. I don't know how it impacts people, to hear worship songs played in the building, but a lot of people walk past as I play, and I like to pray for them to be impacted in a positive way.

I like to write short stories as a hobby, and I've started adding in religion, which adds a new dimension. I also like to reference Christianity as the powerhouse of morality--which it is, if done well. (What I mean by "done well" is a different discussion for a different subforum!).

But yes, God gave us these skills for a reason, so it's only right that we use them to glorify Him.
