Suicide...

I have come in here seeking some support and prayers...

Within the last week, Ive lost 2 friends to suicide...and before them, I've lost 4 others.

It's so painful...I am absolutely beside myself. I miss them so much, I cant even begin to describe it. Our school is in shambles...everyone is walking around so depressed, and the teachers are still trying to teach...Ugh

Please, keep me, and my school in your prayers. Also pray for the families of Max, Jamie McKenna and Adrian (the 4 who had previously killed themselves) and those of Ariel and Jessica, the two who did it this week.

If I sound apathetic in writing this...or cold in some way...please dont think its because I didnt love them. I've realized that it tends to be a coping method of mine to block it out...because not caring is so much easier and less painful than caring. I know that I DO care though...it will take time.

hi kate,
my mom committed suicide on May 2. I'm still in a shock. i thank god for the strenght He gives me. However, this whole issue on suicide really distrubes me. i hear plp say that the chances of suicide survivors committing suicide is high and that disturbs me.
i'm so glad that there's this forum and we can all pray together.

You have really been delt quite a blow. No one thinks you don't care. sometimes to get through things such as this, your mind gets sorta stunned. I think when things are so unexpected our bodies just shut down, because we can't stand the pain.

To know this has happen in one group at the same place is hard for me to accept. So much pain on our children's lives today. They are faced with so many decisions and they are just not mature enough to deal with the consequences.

Needless to say, you have had a lot of maturing to do and real fast.

Father, this is so tragic and so hard to deal with, we surely don't understand. We ask you make your presence know in and all around the school. Reach down and touch each student and teacher and all staff. Put the right people there to help them deal with this terrible loss. Be with each one and Bless them and bring a renewed spirit to the school and each person there. Give them courage to seek help for anyone they think maybe having problems that they can't deal with. Give the teacher a keen eye for anyone showing any traits of stress or problems in there life. Lord, show your mercy and grace to everyone involved in this situation. In Jesus' name, I pray. amen

My prayers are with you and their friends and family.
We don't realize how much pressure is on our youth today and it is only by our taking claim on their lives in the name of Jesus that we can take back our children from the depth's of despair. I too lost my 21 year old son in 2004 and had no idea he was suffering to the extent he was. I truly believe that what is getting you through is the same as what lets me get up everyday and that is the true love of The Father and knowing that I can turn a broken heart to him and have it healed.
I lift up all the families who have lost a loved one to suicide and ask God to take these families and cover them with your healing arms and bestow your multitude of mercies and blessings upon their hearts. Heal them Lord and let them know that you understand their pain and sorrow. You are the rock of our being and through your Grace alone we will continue to do your works till we meet our loved one again in paradise. Suicide is a disease and you are the Great Physician so we put our loved ones in your care. AMEN

I'm sorry for your losses and am praying. I can block out very painful things, too. So, I understand that it hurts that bad.

Try to lean on God and trust him to help you through! I On Jan 12 2004 My father passed away, and on May 28 2004 My older brother took his own life! It has been a crazy storm for me but I am slowly getting through it! I definetly have a lot emotions I need to get out through. You are in my prayers as are the families of the owns who committed suicide!
