No, that would not be suicidal. That would be called giving up, but suicide is where one takes actions with the intent to end their own life. Even Paul says that he and his fellow missionaries sometimes "dispaired of life" yet they never took actions to kill themselves. You are arguing against a straw man.

You are acting as if there's a difference between people who want to die and people who want to die. Giving up on life and waiting to die is suicidal, unless people who refuse to eat and die by voluntary starvation aren't committing suicide by your definition. If that's the case, then I think we should tell suicidal people that if they do kill themselves, to kill themselves that way. That way, it won't be a sin.

A person may -- as Paul and his friends did -- "despair of life" without being suicidal. One must advance the time of one's own death to commit suicide. If you want something very much, but choose to wait on the Lord about getting it, you are not coveting or stealing. It is what you do with a desire that changes it to a sinful thing. A person who refuses to eat with the intent of dying IS attempting suicide because they have put action toward hastening their death.

I do believe, however, that I know about God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit, and I follow them to the best of my ability in His Grace (which by definition means we do absolutely NOTHING to get it, and that would include repentance, which we can only do once in Grace).

i dont think it would be that easy to be a christian who is : depressed,wavering in faith,being tempeted by a demon to commit suicide, and NOT do it.

the Bible tells us that all sins are the same in God's eyes, even if they're not in our eyes. So whether you steal something or you murder someone, it's all the same level of sin. .

Could you please look in the Old Testament at the Law (i think it is Leviticus among other books) See what the punishment is for Murder and Stealing. REMEMBER THIS IS GOD'S LAW. Oh I will. We cannot do one single good thing without God's Grace. Our ability can only come into play once God freely gives us that Grace. That's the beauty of the Cross. It's a shame more Christians cannot grasp that, and instead fall into a Jewish-tilted Christianity that focuses on our own works of our own selves to try and earn something from God before He moves in us. It's impossible to do.

My guess is it's the one that one reads for themselves instead of having a Hageeite of a Falwellite read it for them with their own commentary put in as nearly indistinguishable from the actual written text. You know, the real one. The one that says all sin separates from God, and that separation from God is why we need Jesus. The one wher you have to read more than 3 verses to understand it. The real one. The one where you have to step out of the rapism of Christianity to understand it at all, and even then you must acknowledge there are many mysteries of the faith left to be explained which we may never explain, but still believe. Do you mean that if you die by suicide, you're eternally lost?

Also, while I respect people's beliefs about demons making people kill themselves and so forth, I really hope none of you would say that to a suicidal person. A suicide candidate has enough troubles already and shouldn't be told that they're more or less controlled by demons or satan.
