Suggestions for guidelines

One very important item was brought up tonight that we really need to address.... We do not want to offend anyone while we help, encourage and save CF pets. Am starting this new thread to help us start our guidelines... Please list anything you are concerned with or a suggestion for everyone.
We do not have a sub-forum to commuincate so we must use a thread or PM each other....

We need to have everything in one thread so it does not get lost with everything else. So please use this thread for that purpose....

Yes all of the above... This is everyone chance to have your say before anything is done.

Lets start with what should be expected from each Pet Rescuer?? Just a few to get started with. Feel free to add your own so we can talk about it.

1. Each Pet Rescuer should at least keep ID health up(equals to 3 post a day). Can post more at one time so not have to post daily unless you want to post 3 daily....if post 21 in one day then your health will be good for 7 days...( post in all different types of forums to get word spread about Pet Rescuers but not to be a troll)

2. Each Pet Rescuer should keep own pet alive and fed....

3. Each Pet Rescuer should have each other as buddies and network with each other about anyone who might want a different pet.

4.Each Pet Rescuers should keep track of donated blessings recieved for Rescuing, pets adopted out (usernames of those who are only using us to get blessings) to send list last day of every month to doctorcf.

5. We can give out 10 rep's a day maybe each Pet Rescuer can Rep anyone who they think is taking good care of their pets....( will give good encouragement to take care of pet).

This is enough to get us at least talking.... any comments or opinions?? Right now these are only suggestions.... lets start talking before we write up the guideline all Pet Rescuers will follow in the future...

Those are great. So far my rescuer id was given 200 blessings, but I'd already spent more than that to give the pet some makeover tweaks so she'd be more adoptable. To my surprise it worked and the pet was quickly adopted. I would really prefer it if we had a cfpetrescue blessings "account" and we could request withdrawals from that account if we needed help. I'd like to be able to use the blessings from my job and/or bank interest to do the rescue work if at all possible. If the pet hospital takes off and becomes a respite for sick/dying pets, I expect we'll be very busy finding homes for these little guys. I'm tickled pink with this rescue forum.

If the pets are more then 60% hunger, record the percentage hunger that day and the next day. Next to the pet hunger, list if the owner have less or more than 100 blessing (without stating how many blessing the owner have for private reasons). Next the blessing amount, list the time the owner was last activity.
Finally, get to know the pet owners' feeding method. Like, when do the pet hunger decrease to xx% hunger. I think what I suggest would help each of us to handle 90 pets at a time.

Don't ya think that's a bit much? Personally I don't have time for doing daily check ups and reports and I'm sure others don't either. And we don't want pet owners to feel like they're under survalence(sp), or being watched or accused of being a bad owner. No matter what our intentions, some people assume the worst.

My health bar is poor because of my view of the purpose of this username, I assumed that it was only to be use in relate to 'pet recusing.' But now I know that I can use it around the forum in relate to #1 above. I will do that.

No, I don't think so. It could take like one hour of our time everyday or every other day when we come on.
We could make this work. We have 800 pets to divide among outself. Let us give it a try.

No offence, but I have offline work to do and dad lets me know when I spend too long online. I don't have a problem with checking up on pets and making sure they aren't starving, but the daily reports and getting to know the owners...I don't have that much time.

We have had a few problems and members are thinking and complaining that we are trying to tell them how they can take care of their own pets.... We are not here to make CF Members feed or care for their pet a certain way.... We started all this to help save the pets that are dying, sick and help teach those who want are help. Sorry but I think reporting and making lists like this would hurt our cause and have many hurt feelings... I suggest yes to contibue playing with pets that need played with, keep your eye on those that you think will need your assistance and the newbies. We don't need to even send pm's until the pet is dying unless you know is a newbie that maybe doesn't understand how to care for the pet.

The pet list was a good idea so we can play with the pets that are alive, and owned.... but I don't think we need to be telling the owners how to care for their pets or when they have to feed their pets unless they ask. You can always pm nursecf or doctorcf and we can pm the owner...if necessary.

Main purpose for pet Rescuers is to rescue pets, feed and nurse them back to health and help find new homes for them. By posting and making contacts outside of the pet forum, you will get members interested and asking questions. Then you can teach them how to care for the pets.

It is cool that you was able to change the pet to find it a home. Yes I have had to do that many times.... If neccessary you can request blessings from doctorcf or nursecf but for adoption fees, feeding, and health injections, anything other that that may be considered too much, will depend on the situation... feel free to pm either doctorcf or nurse cf with questions... at the moment I (ladyday95) answer pm's from both ID's.

Can also request blessings sent to certain members to assist them with feeding own pet, will depend on the situation and if the member is trying to care for pet and maybe needs teaching how to get own posts up so can care for the pet themselves. Or if the member is one who is just using us. (Yes we do have a list of people who are greedy and are just using us)

Yes all blessings you recieve as donations or from posting, from job or savings is for you to use for your ID, I only ask for monthly totals of donations so I can be accountable in Doctorcf's blog and let all CF Members know we are not wasting the donated blessings and we are not using them for anything other then for the CF Pet Rescuing.

In relate to the petrescuer bank, are each pet recusers going to be given a limit amount of blessing monthly to contribute toward the pet recusing? Are we going to keep our individual note of how much we spend the blessing on like for food, to buy a pet, to give member blessing to help their pet or blessing donated to our resucer account?
I am available to helping out anyone in any ways (including coming up with new ideas).

Thank you for willing to help. Yes we are always wanting your ideas how to improve things. Right now no, we do not give certain amount blessings to each rescuer because not all are active. If you need blessings, then please pm nursecf or doctorcf with a request stating what you need blessings for and how much needed.... Both DoctorCF and NurseCF have blessings in bank for that purpose and for the Hospital if and when we get it. After we are able to feed each others pets then yes most likely we will set up a different system to make sure each rescuer has enough blessings to help feed the starving pets, but for now we only take requests for blessings.

For now I only need a monthly total including:
1. amount of blessings you recieve as donations each month,( if you wish to thank them personally, you can in your blog, a special thank you blessing thread, with rep's to them, or sign their guestbook) There are many ways to thank people for helping.

2.how many and what type of pets you rescued.
Some pets are being rescued over and over again. This will help us know if it is the same pet that was rescued before and we can try to do something about it. It will also help us know if a certain type is easier to find a home for, and we do keep track of members who have asked for a certain type of pet. So when one becoes available we can help them become owners.

We should not use any username of pet owners in any posts in a negative way, because we do not want to embarrass people. (Yes is ok to say who adopted which pet, that is not negative.) With each adoptions I think we should encourage the new owners to come post in pet forum so we can play with pets. This will also help us keep up with the pet and new owner in case they need help. But if they choose not to it is up to them. We can not force anyone to raise their pet our way.

I do ask you to keep list of members who ask you for blessings repeatedly, so we are not used by the same person asking for blessings from two or three different rescuers ( this has already happened). If it becomes a bigger problem we will send each rescuer a list of names and a way to handle the situation if the certain person keeps asking for help and then they not use the blessings for the pet care but for other reasons.
