Perhaps we should reconsider the "fear mongering" and "no politics" restrictions.
"No fear-mongering. Christian Prepping is not about ideological paranoia and fear."
Sometimes a little fear is appropriate and completely normal. It is the natural result of disturbing news or threatening clouds on the horizon. Under this rule, Noah would not be allowed to post about the coming flood of which God warned. And yes... Noah feared... and rightly so:
Heb 11:7
By faith Noah, being warned by God about things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.
He feared and prepped.
IOWs, if a plague was sweeping across the nation, or if missiles were flying over the north pole, or if the dam above your town was breaking... we would not be allowed to warn people on this forum lest someone fear. Even when a little healthy fear would normal and correct.
And as for politics... in this country and around the world it is inevitable that political issues come to the front. While we do not want politicking for candidates or parties... we should be able to discuss national and world issues that affect prepping and preppers without that discussion being deemed "political" and therefore shut down. Also we need to recognize that there is a difference between government and politics. So discussing the particulars and ramifications of a pending law is not politics... rather it is real world issues that may affect our prepping.
