mottie - ya, I've stood up in some small situations, but nothing very big. Even civil rights stuff wasn't a big deal where I grew up as everyone was white except for a few native Americans.

Bonhoeffer: Pastor, Martyr, Prophet, Spy - but not reading it, listening to it, an audio book! Great story of a very brave Christian in standing up to the Nazi's, makes me wonder what I would do in similar circumstances.

I know right? There is a pastor named Saeed that is in one of the worst prisons in Iraq for being a christian. He is an american from Idaho and was building orphanages over there. They want him to renounce his religion/God and he won't. Some days I find myself saying maybe he should just to get out, but then what would God think of that? IDK.

Yes he's in a jail in Iran which is even worse than Iraq, this reminds me of Pastor Richard Wurmbrand and his book Tortured for Christ.
