Subliminal messages

Since I got up the courage to post one question today ...here another . What do some of you think of Christians using subliminal messages to help them in their faith. Sounds like an odd question. Well, I am almost house bond due to Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and I spend A LOT of time on the internet because often it's all I have the strength to do. I had notice myself becoming angry and frustrated allot after being on the net for awhile. I came to realize it was because of all this TRASH that would pop up when I was surfing . Pop Ups for pornography and such. I found a free subliminal program and loaded it with pictures of Jesus and scriptures. The program runs on my computer on or off the net. It actually seems to help. I even made a relaxation CD for nights. In the front is the sound of nature, wind, rain birds singing....in the background I have scriptures and positive encouragement...."I am happy, I feel Great today, ect...
I was just wondering if any other Christians have done this kind of thing before or am I kinda on my own here?

I never thought to do this, but I can see it helping someone who is a christian to keep Godly thougths and images in the front of your mind.

I wonder...with the relaxation CD, have you ever thought about recording affirming verses of the Bible, like, "I will never leave you or forsake you..."

That way, you'd be getting positive messages from God, which might help them really give you long-lasting comfort.

I can see that it would be an appealing idea. I think its probably very dangerous to go seeking help from worldly methods like subliminal messages and positive thinking, though.

What's wrong with getting software to simply stop the popups (I have a very good one called FreeSurfer). Call me old-fashioned but I'd prefer to come into the presence of the living God in prayer, rather than listening to a relaxation CD.

yeah, playing scripture would be great. Maybe charlton heston reading the bible would be good, lol. "Moses... Moses..."

If you have a fast internet connection, I think this site will read books of the bible to you. This site is the best online bible resource I have ever used. It does exhaustive searches of the bible, it can quote scripture in tons of translations and nearly every language. They have audio resources too, so check it out.

use subliminal messages to draw people into wanting to go there. That was what gave me the idea for using a subliminal message program. There is another reason I use subliminal messages. The Chronic Fatigue Syndrome I have had for 8 yrs. Hinders my ability to concentrate on the bible. I read to long things blur and that is only if my head is clear enough to read. I haven't been able to tolerate just listening to "Talking Bible " . I can't stand listening to anything that talks...tapes, CD's . I can't stand just listening to the TV. If I want to be able to put up with the television I have to be watching it. Sometimes I can't even stand that. I can usual (but not always) listen to Christian music. The relaxation tapes I can handle...by the way I made the tapes myself from sounds I found on "virtual outdoorsman" games. So I found someway around the effects of CFS to keep a little of Gods word in my life. as a point I had to stop several times while writing this message to "recover" my vision and train of thought.

Have you asked God to heal you? Have you sought medical attention?

I had CFS until I started taking thyroid medicine. My TSH wasn't high, but I was still suffering from the same symptoms you have nevertheless.

If the doctor you have now won't treat you, keep going to more doctors until one will. I had to go to four doctors before one would even check my thyroid, and two more before they would medicate me.

I had prayed for years for healing and the doctor had done every test imaginable including checking my thyroids. he found the cause, two different viruses attacking my system at the same time. I honestly believe that I need to be "set free" from something in my life. I'm not sure what that something is but I have had an unbelievable hindrance in my life - my whole life. The CFS was just the proverbial "straw that broke the camels back". Gods actually been guiding me to fast to be set free from what ever the ROOT of my problems is. The thing with God impressing me to fast is he might tell me that I'm going to be on this fast but he always tells me the day to start it..it's always the very morning of the day I'm to start. But he will tell me he wants me to fast weeks before he gives me the day to start it. I think that's so my mind will be on it and I'll be praying in preparation up until then. He actually told me about a month ago to start a 9 day fast...I'm still waiting for the morning when I wake up to "Your fast starts now"
If I haven't gone off track here....I'm saying that there is something preventing me from getting healed. there has been a barrier in my life that has always kept me kind of pushed down into a deep pit ever since I was a very small child. I have been praying for God to destroy that barrier for me. I believe that he is getting me in a possession to do it for me. When he does give me this miracle...healing included...believe me you'll hear about it as will with everybody in shouting distance!

I felt the same way. It turned out to be medical. Six doctors didn't catch it. I went from healing service to healing service. Nothing. It wasn't a spiritual problem, it was medical. Go to another doctor and another and another if you have to. It's your life. Don't let then waste it because they aren't looking in the right place, or because they are too lazy to do something for you.

So far all the medical help I have sough turned up nothing to help. The first doctor I went to was a specialist...he was the one who diagnosed me with CFS..He was the only specialist I was ever able to actual see. My regular doctor called another specialist
...he couldn't offer me anything the other had not done. I was given the names of a specialist who was suppose to be great with CFS patients...but I was on disability at the time which mint I was on medicate and he wouldn't except medicate and he was too expensive for me to pay. That is one reason I surf the net...Looking for any reports on something that works...so far, no good. I've even prayed for God to help me find a doctor that could help.
