Subbed or Dubbed?

which do you think is better? anime with english diaolgue or anime with japanese diaolgue and english subtitles?

Subb is the preferred method, but sometimes the dub companies get together a good english version (just not all that often).

i like dub but only because i'm lazy and don't want to read but subs arn't that bad either.

Depends on the anime. Most stuff I prefer to watch dubbed, but I don't mind subbed. And there are certain animes I will only watch subbed, like Sailor Moon. The american voice actress for Usagi drives me nuts, and I can't stand to listen to her.

I like both, sometimes I prefer Subtitles but it depends on the anime!

Definitely subbed. Original voices are usually selected more carefully, and somehow dubbing does not convey emotions and puns as effectively.

As a side note, one of the most notorious dubbing is in Rurouni Kenshin/Samurai X. It is so bad they even got Edo, Kyoto and Tokyo mixed up.

It depends on the anime, but usually subtitled. In the case of Cowboy Bebop, for instance, the dub is good enough that I don't really care either way (and, in my view, English fits better with the feel of the anime). There are plenty of clumsy subtitlings, though, and often it's hard to find any good translation.

I never really tried watching sub anime. Was always kind of lazy, till i watched my G\F's GTO vols thats only in japennes, it wasn't as bad as i hought

I think one of the better Dubbed animes is Saiyuki! Its pretty good, but I still like subs!

I would like to mention that for some reason, I prefer Chinese subs to english subs. Chinese dubbing still sounds as weird as that in English - it just does not feel right somehow.

99 % out of all dubs suck... BIG TIME. The voice acting is just terrible. In Japan the industry for anime is a lot bigger and they put a lot more money in it, hence better voice acting.

So subs it is.

I usually watch subs, but I think a dub is just fine if they got half-way decent voice actors. Dubs come out to be just as good when they get decent voice actors because I don't have to concentrate as much, or rewind after as many distractions.

for me it depends on the anime, for example the dubbing for cowboy bebop is very good, at least i think so, and the dubbing for dbz is horrible, so i love the japanese version..it depends on the anime...well, the quality of the voice actor actually
