• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

If I hear any noises outside tonight, I am charging the parking lot in my underwear with an axe in hand.

That should be enough to scare off any potential thieves for good.

Coach

Once someone stole an RC airplane body out of our garage. My father-in-law thought for sure someone was going to come back for the wing and the controller, so that night he did a "stake out" in the kitchen with his 9MM. They never came back but it sure was a bummer! I just will never forget my FIL sitting in the kitchen in the dark......waiting.....watching...TO CATCH A THIEF :D

Sorry to hear that Coach. Its awful what happened and I hope that the thieves get caught. This might sound extreme but you could purchase some sort of camera and hide it just incase they come again. I know that you shouldn't have to resort to such measures but it seems that you might have to.

Oh and sorry but what you said about hoping that the ipod gets stuck on a country song made me laugh. :sorry:

I don't understand that mentality. I really don't. Even the smashed window thing ^. Whenever I see a smashed window, I just think "DRAMA!" I see that once in awhile around the area where I live. It isn't a horrible neighborhood, but even so. College kids, older folks, gainfully-employed, unemployed, addicts, everyone in between... basically, it's just immaturity and foolishness. It's a part of city life that I'm unfortunately used to seeing. If you can afford it, underground parking is the way to go.

That sucks though.

Robberies suck. You can always tell when it's kids too. When I lived in Cleveland we would get robbed, and often they'd only take video game systems and what not. It was probably someone who lives in the building..honestly.

It's called selfishness and entitlement. People thinking that THEY should have what is yours...just because they want it, even though they didn't earn it or work for it and it doesn't belong to them.
