Depends. Some are able to learn more on their own while others need more help. Some learn by listening, reading, and others have to be shown.

Then there’s learning disabilities which are a whole other ball game.

I noticed this was asked in parenting. If you do have or ever have children I strongly believe it is up to the parent to teach them certain things.
