It can be hard to commit, but how many of you Christians actually take the time to read your bible? Until a month or two ago, I've started reading the Bible, and even downloaded it into my E-reader to give myself more opportunities to study it. Sometimes, as Christians, we don't want to be found out for reading God's Word. Sometimes we're just lazy, but that's when we have to make ourselves read it.

Like I said, I've actually begun to read the Bible (KJV) and what I read is amazing. I can't believe how much I've missed out on, and the Bible seems to address almost everything.. you just have to find it. It even had something about table manners in the proverbs, ha ha.

I try to read my bible everyday but it's so easy to get distracted w social media and video games. I think those who struggle need to commit and unplug for a few days. Sometimes the media gets to the point where it takes you captive and you don't even know that your wasting your life chained to a screen on your device. We are all at fault for this.

I agree..

I'm guilty of video games. I've played them, However, as I got older, I began to put those things away. It just lost its appeal to me. Sides, it doesn't really merge well with my church life, and it isn't exactly something I could share with the congregation. I used to be a heavy FPS gamer, but like I said--I began to put those things away.

In fact, even this site can take the place of Bible reading and cause commitment issues. Or any other site, to be exact. (especially you, facebook.)

yep. we shouldn't be ashamed of it.. but to be honest, that was how I was at the beginning of my walk with God.

eventually, though, I got more bolder with my faith. Some people think I'm crazy for following God and all that, but I'm happy to be a 'fool for Christ.'

Same. I've never been a heavy gamer, just played some games here and there. I avoided FPS games where I could, strategy was a different story.
But still, I recently thought about having the goals in someone's life. Most of my classmates still play video games a lot but I see there's more then video games now. Having more spare time, gives me the opportunity to spend it by reading more of the bible. It's not easy for me to do it everyday but I am trying to come to the point where reading the bible will be a daily thing.
