"The scientists used computers to model a short, 12-amino acid protein and tested it in the laboratory. This peptide has several impressive and important features. It contains only two types of amino acids (rather than the estimated 20 amino acids that synthesize millions of different proteins needed for specific body functions), it is very short and it could have emerged spontaneously on the early Earth in the right conditions. "
"Falkowski is the principal investigator for a NASA-funded ENIGMA project led by Rutgers scientists that aims to understand how protein catalysts evolved at the start of life. "
" The small primordial peptide may be a precursor to the longer Legos of life, and scientists can now run experiments on how such peptides may have functioned in early-life chemistry."

The right conditions mean no creation of course. In other words they imagine life without God the creator, and invent fables of how it all woulda coulda shoulda happened with no God. The thinking honest person should be disgusted with this evil waste of money.
So Nasa has found religion. Nice when enemies come out of the trenches.

Primordial peptides, inorganic material, under the right conditions, spawn life spontaneously.

I suppose it would then stand to reason that even more advanced, organic material would then be more likely to spontaneously generate life.

But of the countless billions upon billions of now existing organic materials, we see not one new form of life created. Nothing.

If life spontaneously appeared from inorganic material, certainly it could more readily generate from organic material. But it doesn't.

No. We would then have to 'reason' a known God out of existence.

No surprise there.

Right. Nasa has descended into a religion, that has no connection to fact or common sense.

Besides a deficient set of amino acids, a more significant problem with that is that natural processes produce racemic mixtures, that is, equal amounts of left and right handed molecules. Yet the DNA is composed of exclusively left handed molecules. Good luck trying to explain that with natural processes.

Amino acids apparently are homochiral. What amazes me is how people are led to believe that all the incredible variety of life on earth, with all their different abilities and instincts, and migrations, etc all came from the same little fluke of an imaginary ancestor.
