Thinking and praying for you.

I recently just found work after a year and half of looking. Luckily my ex has been paying some child support but not full amount. Hang in there.

Please don't be afraid to ask for help from charities. I went four day with only one meal before I asked my church if I could have a food parcel that they provided to people in need who to the best of my knowledge were not attending the church so I thought maybe I wouldn't be allowed. There was no hesitation in giving me a food parcel. Sometimes I feel like I am a failure if I need to ask for help so I have avoided doing so even when I know how helpful the service would be.

Spent over 11 years as a single mom, I can relate!!

Definitely take advantage of any resources that are available to you. Food pantries, thrift stores, buy things in bulk to save over time, etc. Temporarily cancel the cable and cell phones if you have to; it's more important to have food, shelter, and clothing without running into debt! We went without cable for a long time, and just collected used VHS tapes and DVD's to watch, and it was fine. My son never had a cell phone, either. I got our clothes at Goodwill or Salvation Army stores. Bottom line: if you don't NEED it, don't buy it.
