jarshwoo said:Hey Chris. When people pray for you they are praying that you will give your life to Jesus. You probably will never outgrow this until you turn your life over to Jesus. I use to be the same way but now I don't curse anymor. If I pray for you not to curse but you continue to have lustful thoughts and curse it won't accomplish anything. When you give your life to Jesus you will begin to be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Romans 12:1-2. You have to retrain your mind to think positively. YOu cant do it yourself. You need the help of Jesus to do it. Good luck.

Very nice Mama Bear. I liked that.mamabear4 said:I grew up in a very sheltered home where anything that smacked of a cuss word was prohibited. ("What in the world?" was even prohibited.) So cuss words in my thoughts never arose until I became an adult and began working alongside others who weren't reared as I was. Now I can relate with you because when things go wrong - just let the dog drag a rotten dear hide into the yard, or something equally unsightly, and a cuss word pops into my mind. I've found that when I read the Bible more than usual those words come into my mind less often. The Word of God was referred to in the BIble as water (remember the phrase, "the washing of the water by the Word?) And in the Old Testament the laver of water that stood in the outer court in the tabernacle was a type of the Word of God also, so think of reading the Bible as cleansing water that washes the bad words out of your mind with good, clean water. Romans 7,8 are good chapters for the struggling heart.
