Struggling having no friends

Hello,I graduated high school around 3 years ago.I had a few friends that I keep in contact with today,but for the most part,I only have people at work that I can talk to.I have been so consumed with work and school,I go to school online,and I do not have my license yet,so I have to rely on others to take me everywhere.I just feel so lonely,I really can only stay in touch with friends through text message now,and I am just tired of that.It just gets overwhelming only working and doing school online.I go to church,but I cannot join anything to fellowship because my mom says the church is too far.I am just so tired of feeling like my life is only work and school,I just want something more.

Well, in life there is a season for everything. Right now i feel like God wants you to grow yourself and focus on what you need to do now. Like maybe working toward getting your license or slowly saving up for a new used car. A friend of mine at work is very good with her money and she figured out how to pay for school and save up enough money to buy a new car. It took her some time but she did it! God will surprise you. Just keep praying for your future friends. Prayer is powerful. I used to pray for friends everyday because i was super timid and introverted. Now i have more friends than i know what to do with! God is faithful but you must pray. Ye have not because ye ask not.

Honestly i absolutely understand that feeling. Lots of my friends are buying houses getting married getting good jobs and they seem like thier life is so put together. At my age i also feel like i should be like them. That is where i struggle. I've spent my whole life focused on others and trying to catch up to them that i haven't stopped taken a breath and focused on my own life and working on what i need to now. I'm not living for them. This is my life. The one God gave me to live. I shouldnt take it for granted and let every precious moment pass me by because someone my age got a new job or husband. Our days are numbered so lets focus on doing what we need to now and God will take care of the rest. Romans 8:28
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose

I know this post was from a while ago, but I know how you are feeling and just know that it WILL get better. Like Sweetspirit01 said, you gotta start one goal at a time. If it helps, make a list of short term and long-term goals you would like to accomplish and give yourself a REALISTIC deadline for each item. You refer to that list as often as you can and you save your money for one thing at a time and work your way down the list. It really helps me because I tend to be a little OCD with how I keep track of my life lol

Just try not to put so much pressure on yourself. It took me a while to realize this, but there could be circumstances you aren't taking into consideration here. Like, were any of your friends that are "ahead" of you born into a pretty well off family? Did they get their current awesome job because they knew someone? You can't compare yourself to someone who has different connections and resources from you. Your Life experience will not be like your friends' experiences, just like their life experiences won't be the same as yours. It's not a bad thing, we were all made unique and made to withstand unique circumstances.

Focus on you and don't compare yourself to anyone else, because you are better than you are giving yourself credit for.
