Struggling Christians Forum

Someone suggested the idea of a forum for those struggling with religion and/or faith in this thread and I thought that was a good idea. So many Christians are hurt by churches they have gone to or struggle with how unChrist-like many Christians act. I have a family member that greatly struggles with her faith because of how she was treated at her former church. CF is supposed to be a Christian ministry, so this kind of forum seems like it would be a good fit for those struggling with the Christian religion and/or their faith. Though I should note, it would need to be a safe place where people could post without others tearing them down.

Recovery - Christian Forums has a General Struggles forum.

That sounds like general life struggles and not spiritual or religion struggles, though. I was thinking more of an Edification section forum, like where the New Christians sub-forum is.

I do believe spiritual or religion struggles fall under the category of "General." It is, afterall, a catch-all category. I see the point you raise, however. The real question that's involved in creating a new forum is whether or not there's enough people to actually make it worthwhile. There are so many forums on CF already, that it's hard to find specific use cases for new forums. I will echo arborvita's suggestion in other threads here. Probably best to start a thread somewhere and see who uses it.

Yeah, I'm not sure about Recovery. Honestly I'd suggest Christian Advice.
Members can start private threads in Ask a Chaplain.
And of course the prayer forum is available for requests.
