The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.
If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.
If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

I prayed for you, that you have the strength to overcome your depression, and also receive support or a new friend to help you. Remember, just as you said, God will protect you from this, as stated in Psalm 121.
You are welcome. God allows these struggles to happen, as these can be used to strengthen our faith, and help us overcome even bigger struggles in the future. I do not have depression, but ADHD and autism spectrum can be a struggle for me. However, God has helped me slowly make improvements, though, the journey is long and somewhat turbulent sometimes. But yes, God will help you through this. If possible, try to seek help from your parents or psychologist, if you have the means to.
