• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Does anyone struggle with Gods love for them. I often go out and tell people he does. But not really sure about it for about myself:(
Yes guess that makes me a bit of a hypocrite :(:(

"There were the girl-eyes, blue, and hazy with tearful questions, looking up at him hungrily.--O starving little brothers and sisters! God does love you, and all shall be, and therefore is, well."

Oh Jo you are not a hypocrite but a deeply hurting person. It can be very difficult to hurt and then to say Jesus loves me - I know all about that. Depression is just so negative and only believes lies about God's love and your own integrity.

Be strong Jo and hold on to Christ's love He will get you through it in The End for He remains faithful even when we are not.

Hallelujah!

Jesus loves us it says so in The bible and the bible can be trusted to know it better than our depression.:preach:

All praise to Jesus for dying for our sins what a great love has He go for us? To die for us while we were still sinners.

I felt God's love when I was 11-15 but after that sin became too heavy and I abandoned His grace. Now I'm bitter and feel God must hate me or isn't there and that all those feelings I felt as a younger child were just made up in my head and not from a divine source.

Yet at the same time I can't tolerate watching others abandon God and follow me in this path of destruction. I've had multiple people with their own doubts tell me about it in private messages and I've never encouraged abandoning God; I always try to offer a quote or teaching that may help them find God again or at the very least wish them luck in their struggle. Wish I was as confident about God for myself.

First off, you are not a hypocrite. I often feel this way too. I try to remember that God loves me, he just wants me to get through certain things to make me stronger. You are not alone.
